Complex Wounds @ Manchester - Biobank
The aim of the ComplexWounds@Manchester Biobank is to help researchers by providing access to large numbers of tissue samples from donors with many types of disease. The nature of complex wounds is that there are varying aetiologies and as such the Biobank wishes to record as much of this information as possible in order to help research into this area. The ComplexWounds@Manchester Biobank offers a responsive tissue service and welcomes applications for tissue that may not be stored in the Biobank. The Biobank team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust has access to a large patient cohort and samples are routinely taken from patients with pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, trauma wounds and wounds due to surgical complication or infection.
