St Thomas' Hospitals Plasma, serum & DNA Bio bank from patients with antiphospholipid antibodies

A frozen biobank collection of plasma, serum, and DNA from APS patients. Each sample is anonymised blood sample collected from patients who consent for its use in future research into Antiphospholipid Syndrome. APS is defined as the association of antiphospholipid antbodies (aPL) with arterial or venous thrombosis and /or pregnancy morbity. Antiphospholipid syndrome is an autoimmune disorder in which aPL are involved in the development of venous and/or arterial thrombosis.
