GlaxoSmithKline Research Tissue Bank

GlaxoSmithKline R&D has a global biobank network storing human biological samples from GSK R&D sponsored clinical trials, collaborations and commercially procured samples. These samples span the following main therapy areas: Oncology, Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases, Respiratory, Inflammation and AutoImmunity. There are several million samples logged in the GlaxoSmithKline R&D sample tracking systems. Work needs to be done to identify which specific sample sets can be shared (both from closed clinical trials and from those that were commercially acquired), by establishing those that have the appropriate consent level and data available and to get the necessary approvals in place for access these samples.
