Newcastle Mitochondrial Research Biobank
The Newcastle Mitochondrial Research Biobank (Newcastle MRB) is situated within the Wellcome Centre for Mitochondrial Research, Newcastle University. The collection includes tissue from patients with suspected/confirmed mitochondrial disease, family members of patients with suspected/confirmed mitochondrial disease and tissues from both adults and children who are known to be unaffected by mitochondrial disease (control samples). Samples obtained from patients at post mortem are also stored.
