Newcastle Uteroplacental Tissue Bank

The Newcastle Uteroplacental Tissue Bank is a major research resource of human clinical samples obtained, following written informed consent, from non-pregnant and pregnant women (1st, 2nd and 3rd trimester). The bank facilitates research projects conducted with the overall aim to understand the molecular, cellular and tissue remodelling events that occur in the mother and fetus during normal and complicated pregnancies. As such, it is possible for external researchers to access the samples only as part of a collaborative project with one or more custodians of the bank.
