INTEGRATOR Research Tissue Bank

The INTEGRATOR Research Tissue Bank is a new scientific initiative led by the University of Oxford that aims to inspire and facilitate future cancer research projects across numerous cancer types and stages. INTEGRATOR will collect, manage and store a wide range of biosamples (such as blood, tissue and other bodily fluids) donated from a diverse population of donors. All donated samples will be stored in laboratories managed by the University of Oxford. Additionally, the biobank will collect relevant data about the sample donors. This may include information on medical history, demographic data (age, ethnicity, gender etc.) and other information useful to future cancer research. Participants will broadly fall into one of three groups: those who have received a cancer diagnosis, those who have not been diagnosed with cancer but may be at risk of cancer or have symptoms which may be suggestive of cancer, and non-cancer controls. use of samples and data in cutting-edge, high-quality cancer research is vital. Therefore, following a strict application process, the INTEGRATOR management group will provide access to the samples and data collected and stored by the tissue bank to cancer researchers across the UK for use in future cancer research projects. INTEGRATOR is multi-center, and plans to open sample collection centers across the UK.
