BEST4 Surveillance Trial

A prospective cohort trial to assess whether the capsule sponge test, together with a biomarker panel (cytological atypia, p53 immunochemistry, age, gender, length of Barrett's Oesophagus segment) can be used to monitor patients with non-dysplastic Barrett’s Oesophagus (NDBO). Participants receive a capsule sponge test in addition to standard of care endoscopies as part of the 3-year trial. Participants are risk stratified at baseline (clinical risk factors and endoscopy) into low, moderate, or high-risk groups which will then inform the timing of follow-up assessments.
